President, Michael Stewart

The opportunity to work with many different businesses has always been my dream.  I find that all businesses can benefit from certain core principles but also that each individual business is unique in it's own way.  Learning each individual business first, and then applying smart strategic changes, is a process that will always fascinate me.

Now for a little more about my background though!  I went to University of California, Davis for my undergraduate studies and majored in Economics and Political Science.  From there I worked jobs in real estate planning, finance, city government, online physical good retail sales (B2C), and finally financial software (B2B). 

At a certain point, while working for the financial software company, I felt that I needed a deeper understanding of various aspects of business.  I then began working towards my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at University of Southern California (USC) during nights and weekends.  Two and a half years later, and with much lost sleep, I graduated in the top 5% of my class and had also done so well at the financial software business that I had become a co-owner.​

Over the next 10 years, I expanded the tax software business, from a single company with $3m annual sales, into three companies with $20m+ annual sales.  I then brokered a sale of all three companies, to a strategic buyer, and went on to found my dream company, Stewart Consulting.

I now get to work with various sized businesses, in all industries, and specialize in the technical aspects of websites, integrated marketing campaigns with analytics, technology integrations, and workflow improvement.​

Starting Stewart Consulting has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career.  I had previously worked in the medical and beauty industries and realized that working with large pharmaceutical and beauty product companies was not for me.  I have always enjoyed more focused interactions, with small businesses, that have meaningful and direct effects.

After founding Stewart Consulting, as a woman owned / minority owned business, I now get to interact with passionate and talented people from all industries!
